The Dog Turns Three: Happy Birthday Webster

Friday, November 28th, 2008
Today marks Webster's third birthday, and to celebrate I've gathered some of the tons of photos that I have of him and set them to music. As you will see, Webster has demonstrated a great deal of patience having had a camera shoved in his face most of the days of his life. There is even a chapter about having fun at Webster's expense, dressing him up in costumes against his will for which, I know at some future point, there will be hell to pay. But don't feel bad for Webster because right now he's sacked out on the armchair after a full day of having fun: a car ride, a visit to the Buddhist center, digging in the garbage and having consumed a… Read More

The Obama Mutt Saga Continues …

Sunday, November 16th, 2008

I originally posted that Obama adopted this mutt, but my facts were wrong, based on a news article I read last night that had its facts wrong and stated that he had adopted the dog. It's a good thing you can repost your facts quickly on the Internet.

What Obama did do was promise… Read More

The Day I humiliated my Dog

Thursday, October 30th, 2008
Errands, we all have to run them, like it or not. I like them not, but having Webster along for the ride does make these side trips more enjoyable. And any opportunity Webster has to go for a ride in the car, no matter where the destination (excluding the vet's office, of course), he's ready, willing and standing at the front door. Today's destination: PetSmart. We… Read More

Someone’s Getting Chubby

Webster-sunbathing
Webster loves to eat. Whenever there is food, there he is, under foot, patiently waiting, sometimes stooping to whatever cheap tactics will make him look utterly adorable so that you'll be charmed into bending over to give him a morsel of whatever it is that you're eating. Never mind that such tactics have worked often enough… Read More

Happy Mother’s Day from the dog

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008
Photo What a great day! I wake up to find Bill and the dog waiting for me in the kitchen, shit eating grins on their faces (really). A beautiful card was sitting on the counter top, with scribbling on the front that said, “Mama,” in sloppy writing. Who could this be from, I wonder? And who gets the little black and white box with the red bow? And whatever could… Read More

Webster J. Dog

Sunday, May 11th, 2008
Websterthumb It has been a long time since I have written in my blog and you may think it a very sad state of affairs that when I do choose to write, I write of my dog. On the other hand, there is a part of me that aims to please and I have been requested by numerous people, numerous times, to please publish new pictures of Webster. Webster is… Read More

Webster Turns Two!

Tuesday, December 4th, 2007
Websterlast_2 I admit that Webster, our dog, is more than a little spoiled. He’s just as sweet as he is cute, with a cheerful and loving disposition. As such, we never hesitate to take an opportunity to show him just how much we love him; how happy we are that he is a part of our lives. Coming home every night is a joy, for we are always greeted… Read More

Vacation Day

Friday, October 12th, 2007
I feel like crap, and what is that GOD AWFUL noise? It’s 7:00 am (give or take, by what I can tell from opening one eye, only slightly) and I am tired and making every attempt to make a second round of sleeping in. But what is that WHINING noise? I know I didn’t set the alarm and even if I did the electricity went off yesterday (just like the day before), because we live in the woods, damnit, and that’s what happens when you live in the woods! I reach over to the nightstand, feeling my way for the earplugs. I put them in and go back to sleep. I get to sleep al right, but I have no idea for how long when I hear that WHINING, YET AGAIN! I… Read More

Webster’s First Enchilada

Saturday, October 6th, 2007
We were taking a road adventure today, but it took longer than I thought. In my book, I feel like dogs are people dressed in fur coats. When I was hungry and stopped for lunch, it seemed only right that I order my best freind something as well. I didn't feel right about eating in front of him, as he sat there demonstrating the patience and restraint of a saint, licking his chops, and looking up at me, but never once moving from his chair, or jumping up on the table. Hence, his good manners, devotion & friendship were well rewarded. I think it's safe to say that Webster LOVES chicken enchiladas! Read More
