I Fell in Love at the Apple Store

Monday, September 28th, 2009
I'm embarrassed to admit just how often I've fallen in love at the Apple store! It's not uncommon for Bill to get an email or text message from me stating,  "Guess where I am?" For which I will get a return response of,  "Oh no!" Yes, dear ... but don't forget ... I'm always saving you money! ;-) Read More

Microsoft: They Scare the Bing out of Me!

Saturday, August 8th, 2009
As if their Songsmith and housewife puking ads weren't enough bad advertising, Microsoft has, once again, tried to be hip. And, once again, they've failed. I make no bones about the fact that I dislike 99.9% of Microsoft products, but I'd be willing to give them a high-five now and then for a good advertising campaign. Two weeks or so ago, Microsoft announced they'd hold a Bing Jingle contest, the goal being to record a short music video theme song about their new search engine, called Bing. Below the winner sings, "Bing goes the… Read More

Someone’s in Trouble

Sunday, August 2nd, 2009
He grabs the very end of the toilet paper roll and runs through the house. TP now lines the length of the hallway and into the living room. It resembles a childhood prank (did you ever TP a neighbor's house?). Bill and I stifle our laughter, long enough to tell him he's a "bad boy".  Moments later, in true Webster fashion, he does something utterly charming… Read More

Mac Versus PC – Transformers

Friday, July 17th, 2009
Meanwhile, back in high-tech land, I am amusing myself at lunch time, watching Macs kick some PC butt. I wonder if they have iPod versus Zune transformers (Sorry "B" I'm still not over the Zune thing - still love ya' though).

Step 1:  Watch sister drop strawberry mixture (for strawberry shortcake) all over the floor, including splashing the wall and dog. Step 2: Laugh at sister. Steps 3, 4,  7 & 8 are not necessary, but extremely helpful as a peace offering. Step 3: Go to store with sister to get more strawberries. Step 4: Wash strawberries. Step 5. Take pictures of every step whereby you get… Read More

Booksetting … What Would You Spell?

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008
With all the books in our book cases, perhaps I should be a bit more creative in actually using my books as art. While my books my not be nearly as colorful as those in the photo below, I'm certain I could spell out a word or two. Book, for example. How would it look if people walked in and saw the word "book" spelled with books on our book shelves?  But maybe I should think bigger, maybe a word such as, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.   What would you spell? The Dog Goes for a Walk … Sort Of

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008
Carrying on the theme of the week: Webster, since this week he turns 3 (or maybe 21 in dog years). As a picture is worth a thousand words, these few should be worth plenty. So much so that additional commentary really isn't required. I will set the stage by saying that we started our beautiful Saturday morning walk at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park which is about 5 minutes from where we live. Some of us walked more than others.   Read More

Chocolate

In addition to the delicious, fresh and healthy food, daily exercise and my monumental Zen moment, there was another equally exciting moment when a stash of chocolate had been found!  Perhaps now would be… Read More
